In the Studio of Man Ray
a book designed, made, bound and publlshed by Teruo Ishihara. With two texts and 16 photos by JS. Published in a signed (by TI) and numbered edition of 28, on November 18, 2020, Silver Paper PUB., Kyoto, Japan. Size 10,5 x 15 cm, 70 pages.
The book contains Teruo Ishihara's Japanese translations of JS' text "The Making of Man Ray", (first published in 2004) as well as "Man Ray 2013" (first published in 2013). The cover photo and fifteen b/w photos inside the book were made by JS in the Rue Ferou studio in 1978-1982, as well as one photo made in Juliet Man Ray's apartment on Rue d'Assas and one photo of Man Ray's grave (in its first version) at the Cimitière Montparnasse. On the inside cover is a color photo by Junko Ishihara of JS and Teruo Ishihara at Gion Kyoto on September 24, 2014. The book ends with a short text by Teruo Ishihara.
This book is the sister publication of The Gift From Juliet Man Ray.
